How Manchester conquered the world
Our industrial incinerators are used in 150 countries
Last week we told you how we celebrated our success as the Export Business of the Yearin the 2017 Pride of Tameside Business Awards. So this week we thought that we would reveal a few of the impressive statistics and fascinating facts that prompted the panel of judges to present us with this prestigious export trophy.
First of all, we have to say that in ‘conquering the world’ we’re following a long-established Manchester export tradition that over the centuries has seen the city hailed as the world leader in cotton, science, aviation, rail and road transport and of course engineering. Now from our own small corner of the city, we are continuing to uphold this unrivalled international industrial heritage and our industrial incinerators are now in service throughout 150 different countries and across all 7 continents.
From the protected environment of Antarctica, where we have supplied two very specialised industrial incinerators to the British Antarctic Survey Team, to some of the most remote locations on earth – including outlying countries such as Ascension Islands, Fiji and Vanuatu to name just a few – thousands of our industrial incinerators are working quietly and efficiently day in, day out.
Many of these industrial incinerators represent our standard Allburn® and Surefire® brands. Many more however, are customised and bespoke waste incineration systems that range from the ultra-compact 60L/day sewage sludge incinerator in Antarctica to the colossal 5000kg/hr animal remains incineration facility that was purpose designed and engineered for the Holy Mina Waste Treatment Facility at Makkah in Saudi Arabia.
These, of course, are just two examples of our bespoke industrial incinerators designed and built for the destruction of every kind of waste imaginable – from the downright disgusting to the quite frankly fascinating.
Whatever the challenge we are supremely confident that we have the experience and expertise, plus all the skills and capacity required to overcome it.
In addition to industrial incinerators, of course, we must not forget the global success of our pet cremation and human cremation technology.
Our animal cremation plant, for instance, is not only the number one choice across the length and breadth of the UK but it is in great demand throughout Europe and beyond. Our most far-flung installation, for example, was for Australia’s largest pet cremation organisation.
Yes we are tremendously proud of our recent export award but we have to say that it was only possible thanks to the skills, dedication and passion of our specialist designers, engineers and support staff who take enormous pride in their work and achievements and in the fact that in 2017 they are continuing the ‘Made in Manchester’ tradition established by generations of Mancunians who are renown not only for their community spirit, salty humour, their gift of sharp sayings … but above all for their dedication to innovation, hard work and worldwide success.
