Innovation & Sustainability Awards (ISA) 2010, in association with Energy Solutions, are now open for entries
The Innovation & Sustainability Awards (ISA) 2010, in association with Energy Solutions, are now open for entries. The awards offer companies the chance to promote their innovative and sustainable products and services that support the effective and efficient management of an organisation. All categories are FREE to enter for companies exhibiting at Energy Solutions* and the deadline for submissions is Friday 3rd September.
Taking place from 6-7 October at London Olympia and supported by the Energy Institute, National Energy Foundation and Renewable Energy Association, Energy Solutions is the UK’s fastest growing energy management event.
To enter, companies must submit a 500-word entry about why they deserve to win, along with (maximum) two images** at www.energysolutionsexpo.co.uk/awards. The winners ceremony will take place during the first day of Energy Solutions on Wednesday 6 October 2010.
The ISA 2010 categories are:
Best innovation in green products or services, sponsored by Water, Energy and Efficiency (WEE)
With the increasing pressure on organisations to ensure that their working practices are as sustainable as possible, the judging panel will be looking at products and services that have a significant effect on the environmental impact of a working building and/or the operation of an organisation.
Best innovation in energy management, sponsored by Energy in Buildings & Industry (EIBI)
Over recent years numerous pieces of legislation have put energy consumption / management top of the boardroom agenda. Entrants should outline how an innovative product or service has been introduced to the market which results in improved energy management.
Best innovation in FM services, sponsored by Premises and Facilities Management (PFM)
This category is open to any company that provides an innovative service that noticeably improves the workplace. Applicants should provide evidence of the benefits the service provides to the workplace, the workforce and ultimately the business. Judges will in particular be looking at significant approaches to sustainability and partnership with clients.
Best innovation in building services, sponsored by Housing Association Building & Maintenance (HABM) and Local Authority Building & Maintenance (LABM)
Open to all exhibitors that have introduced an innovative product or service to the building services market within the last 12 months. Entries should clearly display how their product provides a practical and sustainable solution for a building services issue.
Best product innovation, sponsored by Facilities Management Excellence (FMX)
This category is open to any exhibitor that provides an innovative product that noticeably improves the workplace. Companies should detail the benefits the service provides to the workplace, the workforce and ultimately the business.
Best innovation in health & safety, sponsored by Safety & Health Practitioner (SHP)
Open to all exhibitors, candidates should clearly illustrate how a product or service that has been introduced to the market within the last 12 months has assisted those responsible for the health and safety of staff within a workplace to deliver a safer working environment.
London workplace of the year, sponsored by Premises and Facilities Management (PFM)
Open to all London businesses and not just exhibitors, judges will look for a London workplace that demonstrates:
- Measurable improvements in reducing resource consumption and the use of sustainable materials
- Achievements in reducing carbon emissions by promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy
- New and innovative ways of improving corporate sustainability in business activity and products
To enter the London Workplace of the Year category, a 500-word submission is required along with two images and three testimonials from colleagues who use the office. The judges will be conducting site visits during the week commencing Monday 13th September to the shortlisted entries. Please note, entries are only open to London-based workplaces.
Deadline for entries to the Innovation & Sustainability Awards (ISAs) is Friday 3 September 2010 and entries must be submitted at www.energysolutionsexpo.co.uk/awards.
Energy Solutions constantly seeks to reduce its carbon footprint. To this end, only electronic entries will be accepted.
Energy Solutions will be co-located with Total Workplace Management, the UK’s leading FM and estates event, and M&E – The Building Services Event, the UK’s only exhibition dedicated to all building services. Care Show London will also be taking place at London Olympia from 6 – 7 October 2010.
