Matchmaking creates business opportunities - Enterprise Europe Network explains how
About 125 participants from 30 different countries have registered for the matchmaking arranged by Enterprise Europe Network, EEN, during World Bioenergy. Just like previous iterations, the matchmaking will be truly international with representatives from Europe, Asia, Africa, North- and South-America. The registration deadline is due, but there is still a possibility to take part if you are prepared to be active in the booking of meetings.
'This year we have participants from countries which we previously have not had representatives from. We see it as a sign that these kind of events are spreading globally and has added value for the companies which have participated over the years,' says Malin Jönsson Project Manager EEN Jönköpings län & Gotland.
EEN simplifies and shortens the companies' paths into the inner European market
'International events such as World Bioenergy represents a perfect platform for us to give the companies involved an additional arena to find new clients, suppliers and other business partners via our matchmaking event,' says Malin Jönsson.
Matchmaking events arranged in conjunction with fairs are just one of the many tools EEN has in the arsenal to help SME's find international business partners. In addition to matchmaking, they also offer companies assistance in arranging study trips within Europe as well as allowing them access to business co-operation and technology databases. The databases contain profiles of thousands of other companies all offering or requesting some form of co-operation and this can potentially give bioenergy companies a great gateway into the international market scene.
The EEN network has established several sector groups focusing on different topics such as agro food, materials, environment, intelligent energy etc. These groups consist of EEN representatives who are experts in these areas of activity.
'The sector group called Intelligent Energy chooses to hold their annual meeting during World Bioenergy, since it is a really interesting event combining conference, excursions, exhibition and matchmaking. Several group members have recruited companies to the matchmaking event as well,' says Malin Jönsson.
Did you miss the registration deadline?
If you didn't register for the matchmaking it is still possible to do so. However, your profile will not be in the matchmaking catalogue and you will have to seek profiles and ask for meetings more actively, as other participants may already have looked in the profile list and booked their matched meetings. Knowing this you are welcome to add your profile here.
