New Eaton software advances energy management to reduce facilities’ energy costs, improve system reliability, support sustainability
Power Xpert Insight Software Customer-Centric User Interface Simplifies, Expedites Energy Monitoring
Pittsburgh -- Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton today announced the release of Power Xpert Insight software, a power and energy monitoring software that helps customers reduce energy consumption, control costs, and improve the reliability of their facilities. Power Xpert Insight software provides the big picture on energy usage, efficiency, and power quality for facility, energy, information technology, and healthcare managers. With a user-centric design, Power Xpert Insight software is designed to be intuitive to install, configure and obtain power and energy information to make operating decisions proactively and efficiently.
“Power and energy monitoring is essential for facility managers to meet financial and operational goals, environmental standards, government regulations, and sustainability initiatives,” said Marty Aaron, product line manager at Eaton. “Power Xpert Insight software is focused on energy and power monitoring that makes it easy for customers to see what is happening with their power systems.”
Power monitoring no longer needs to involve solutions that are expensive to install and update, and are outdated when the electrical system changes. Power Xpert Insight software was designed to address these customer concerns. With an intuitive user interface, Power Xpert Insight software provides real-time and historical data to identify, track and improve wasteful energy practices.
Web-based Power Xpert Insight software is designed to be quick to install and configure so that systems can be up and running quickly. Developed after extensive study and testing with users, the software allows customers to view only the device information that they want to see, simplify alarm management, view energy usage and demand data, compare and trend data, and view a one-line representation of their electrical system. Additionally, Power Xpert Insight software is designed to be intuitive to update; easily add or remove devices as electrical systems change, providing an accurate picture of the electrical system at all times as organizations evolve. Power Xpert Insight software provides increased value over time rather than diminishing returns due the ease of updating the system to mimic reality.
Power Xpert Insight software enables facilities managers to move beyond alarm notification to monitor, manage, analyze and trend electrical component availability and usage. So customers can proactively and predictively manage their facilities or the entire enterprise. The user-defined dashboard view provides the information needed at a glance, so customers can pinpoint the energy and power anomalies required to achieve cost savings, prevent equipment or process downtime and support sustainability initiatives. Further, a dashboard view helps to identify equipment or system issues before major problems occur.
Power Xpert Insight software provides a customizable and integrated solution that supports devices that communicate on open protocols. It can pull data from equipment from a variety of manufacturers.
