POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels executives to speak at FEW, BIO conferences
Executives at cellulosic bio-ethanol leader POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels will present at two upcoming industry conferences in June: the 2013 Fuel Ethanol Workshop and the 10th Annual World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology.
2013 Fuel Ethanol Workshop, St. Louis
James Moe, Chairman of POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels, will participate in a general session panel June 11 at 9:45 a.m. CT on the subject “All the World’s A Stage: A Front Row Seat to the Construction and Commissioning of the Industry’s First Cellulosic Facilities.” As part of the panel, Moe will discuss POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels’ production facility, Project LIBERTY, which currently is under construction in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Once complete, Project LIBERTY will have a commercial production capacity of 20 million gallons, ramping up to 25 million gallons annually.
Steve Hartig, General Manager responsible for Technology Licensing for POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels, will participate in a panel June 11 at 1:30 p.m. CT with the subject “Cellulosic Colloquium: Reviewing Construction Progress on the Industry's First Commercial Scale Facilities,” as part of the workshop’s Cellulosic & Advanced Ethanol track. Hartig will discuss POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels’ experience in siting and building the company’s Project LIBERTY cellulosic ethanol facility as well as its strategy for licensing cellulosic ethanol production technology to ethanol producers in North America and abroad.
In addition to Moe’s and Hartig’s presentations, POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels has a presence in the exhibition portion of this year’s Fuel Ethanol Workshop. POET-DSM has a booth where cellulosic experts will discuss technology and licensing with qualified workshop attendees.
10th Annual World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology, Montreal, Canada
Hartig also will speak at the 10th Annual World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology as part of a plenary panel discussion June 19 at 2:15 p.m. ET on the subject “Feeling the Heat of the Biofuels Boom.” This panel will cover policy and political challenges for the industry as well as public opinion, cap ex hurdles, regulatory issues and how the biofuels industry plans to overcome obstacles in 2013.
