Pöyry awarded EUR 1.3 million thermal power plant engineering contract in Mexico

Pöyry has been awarded a contract for basic and detail engineering of the Baja California Sur III power plant in Mexico by ACCIONA. The value of Pöyry's contract is EUR 1.3 million.
The scope of services covers basic and detail engineering services for a 42 MW diesel oil fired engine with a heat recovery boiler and 2 MW steam generator and all auxiliary systems. The thermal power plant uses residual fuel oil for electricity generation, which optimises the cycle of oil and reuse with minimal environmental impact in an environment of high ecological value such as the Peninsula Baja California Sur.
