Project Thermal Oil Boiler Plant Neogroup - Case Study
- 20 MW
- Klaipėda, Lithuania
- 2015 November 30
Main equipment
- Fuel supply system – Overground open fuel warehouse
- Fuel combustion system – Saxlund grate furnace with the thermal oil boiler
- Additional heat generation equipment – thermal oil economizer
- Flue gas cleaning system – electrostatic precipitator (ESP)
Purpose of the boiler plant – heat production and supply for industrial purposes.
Large volume warehouse. Open biomass warehouse allows storage of a 3-day reserve of fuel. Fuel on the platform is handled using a front loader.
Universal application of furnaces. The grate furnace enables combustion of two different types of fuel.
Combustion process management. Unique structure of the furnace allows precise supply of fuel and control of the combustion process on the grate.
Efficiency. The grate is divided into four sections for the primary air supply regulation. The grate bars are manufactured with a low tolerance level, therefore they guarantee a consistent air flow over the entire surface area. This allows efficient combustion of biofuel, while stable combustion can be achieved even in the presence of a low boiler load.
Durability. The hydraulic cylinders of the grate are fitted with the inductive sensors, which ensure a lower pressure of the system and wear of the equipment.
Safety. Thermal oil allows reaching high temperature (up to 350ºC) under low pressure (< 6 bar).
