Q CELLS Showcases Integrated Solar Solution at All-Energy Australia 2019
Q CELLS, one of the largest solar cell and module manufacturers in the world, will participate at the All-Energy Australia 2019 exhibition, the largest national showcase of clean and renewable energy, in Melbourne between October 23 and 24. As a total energy solution provider, Q CELLS will exhibit fully integrated solar power solution from high-quality solar modules to its newly launched energy storage system.
A highlight for attendees visiting the Q CELLS booth (R101) will be the opportunity to view the highly anticipated Q.HOME+ ESS HYB-G2 (‘Q.HOME’) energy storage system, which offers Australian consumers the opportunity for true energy independence, and high quality solar module Q.PEAK DUO-G6+ with 25-year product warranty.
Total energy solution provider: The smart choice for homeowners in Australia
Q.HOME is the Company’s first energy storage system in the Australian market. The product consists of hybrid inverter, lithium-ion battery, and web-based monitoring system. The battery is scalable between 4 and 12 kWh, and is thus suitable for most types of homes in Australia. Additional features include its natural cooling system for silent operation without noisy fans, and a monitoring system that enables homeowners to track how much energy has been generated, stored, and consumed. With Q.HOME, the Australian homeowners can maximise their renewable energy utilisation by capturing and storing surplus power.
Q.HOME is a one-stop-shop concept for solar energy. When Q.HOME is paired with Q CELLS solar modules, it provides a comprehensive, fully integrated solar solution that is covered by a single contact for technical support.
Hee Cheul (Charles) Kim, CEO of Q CELLS, said: “Many visitors will have questions about our latest product announcement, the Q.HOME. We’re seeing a lot of excitement about Q.HOME as it appears to have, understandably, shaken up the solar industry. Q CELLS views Q.HOME as the future of energy – low carbon, clean electricity that is available when you need it. Our experts will be on hand across both days at All-Energy Australia to answer all questions in relation to Q.HOME.”
Next-generation high quality modules
Accompanying the Q.HOME solution at the Q CELLS booth will be the latest iteration of the company’s award-winning Q.PEAK DUO module range – the Q.PEAK DUO-G6+ complete with a guaranteed 25-year product and performance warranty. Manufactured using larger M4 wafers, the Q.PEAK DUO-G6+ has a maximum output of up to 355 Wp and offers long-term reliability with its 25-year product warranty, as well as one of the lowest degradation rates in the industry, which guarantees 85% initial performance in the 25th year of performance. The all-black version, the Q.PEAK DUO BLK-G6+, has a maximum output of up to 345 Wp and offers optimal aesthetic appeal that is ideal for the rooftops of residential and commercial and industrial buildings.
Also showcased at All-Energy Australia will be a prototype of the Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G9, Q CELLS’ first ever gapless solar module. The Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G9, which made its first public appearance at the Solar Power International (SPI) exhibition in the U.S. last month, is an all-black module composed of 132 gapless half-cells with 12 bus-bars. With the use of larger M4 wafers and a gapless design that allows for the addition of 12 more cells than the usual 120 half-cells, the Q.PEAK DUO BLK ML-G9 can deliver maximum power output of up to 380 Wp, as well as industry leading efficiency of up to 20.2%. With high power and efficiency and sleek all-black aesthetics, this gapless module is an ideal addition to Q CELLS’ portfolio as it seeks to build on its leadership position in the rooftop solar market.
Mr. Kim said: “Q CELLS is well recognised as one of the best solar brands in Australia where the residential and commercial and industrial market is very mature. Based upon our success in the solar industry, we will move forward as a total energy solution provider to provide high customer value with not only solar modules, but also energy storage system.”
With attendance numbers at this year’s All Energy Australia exhibition predicted to exceed last year’s figure of 8,500 visitors and 290 exhibitors, Mr. Kim is excited at the prospect of showcasing Q.HOME and the latest Q.PEAK DUO solar modules to a wide and engaged audience.
Mr. Kim added: “All-Energy Australia offers the perfect platform for everyone to get up close with our products. We are delighted to be attending this exhibition to offer the opportunity to share in the excitement about our new products. We are keen to improve understanding of how this powerful new range will impact consumers’ day-to-day lives as they look to become more sustainable and energy independent.”
Held in partnership with the Clean Energy Council, All-Energy Australia is a free-to-attend event that focuses on the latest technology, information and trends relevant to those working or investing in the renewables sector. Confirmed speakers for All-Energy Australia include the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Victoria, Lily D’Ambrosio, and the Deputy Secretary-Energy, Victorian Government, Anthea Harris.
