Renewables Acadermy - RENAC: Summer School 2013 and Announcements
International Summer School Renewable Energy
Use the late summer to get a crash course in renewable energies or develop your engineering skills for photovoltaics, wind power or bioenergy in RENAC's Summer School. You will have the opportunity to study in a team with professionals from many different countries while broadening your renewable energy know-how. A blend of classroom lessons, practical exercises and field excursions will make studying not only effective, but also fun.
Week 1: 12. - 16.08.2013 Introduction to Renewable Energies
Obtain a structured overview of different renewable energy systems by understanding both technical functionality and economic viability, as well as possibilities and boundaries of their applications. As an extra, we will take you on various site excursions to different renewable energy plants, so you will have the chance to have first-hand experiences.
Week 2: 19. - 23.08.2013 Wind power and Bioenergy
Get a comprehensive introduction to wind power and bioenergy during the second week of RENAC's Summer School. You will learn how the power of the wind is converted into electricity, about the challenges when feeding the electricity into the grid and what components a wind power plant is built of. The last two and half days are dedicated to bioenergy. You will get an overview of the variety of bioenergy applications for both electricity or heat generation and gain an insight into different technologies and feedstock.
Week 3: 26.08. - 30.08.2013 Grid-connected and off-grid Photovoltaics
Learn more about both grid-connected and off-grid photovoltaic systems in the last week of the Summer School. This week covers all aspects of planning, installation, maintenance, quality management and monitoring of PV systems. Furthermore, important non-technical issues, such as legal aspects, economics and financing will be discussed.
More information about course contents and application procedure you find here.
Invitation to our booth at Intersolar Europe 2013 in Munich at B2.170
Again in 2013, RENAC will be present at Intersolar Europe from 19.6. - 21.6. 2013 with a booth (B2.170). We would like to invite you to come and visit us to learn about our latest educational or consulting services, to discuss a specific proposition, or just for networking. The Intersolar fair is a good opportunity to meet our future partners and clients, as well as to reconnect with our previous participants.

MBA Renewables
MBA Renewables qualifies highly skilled professionals to strengthen the sustainability business. The next course starting in October 2013 is now open again for applications.
In June 2012, the first MBA Renewables, the only Master of Business Administration with a focus on renewable energies, which can be studied online, offers a broad mix of qualifications needed in management of renewable energy companies. Since its start in 2011, students from all five continents and 30 different countries have registered. They study online and on a part-time basis alongside their jobs. To facilitate the exchange of experiences beyond online forums and virtual group-work, part of the course takes place on-campus, where the students spend two weeks in Germany after the first study semester. The study programme is offered by the Berlin based Beuth University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with Renewables Academy (RENAC).
For the next intake, applications can be handed in until September 1st, 2013.
