SgurrEnergy, part of Wood Group’s clean energy business, has been recognised as a Renewable Energy Testing Lab (RETL) for Power Performance Testing (PPT) by the IECRE (International Electrotechnical Commission – Renewable Energy) after undergoing a formal assessment process.
The IEC System for Certification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use in Renewable Energy Applications (IECRE System) aims to facilitate international trade in equipment and services for use in Renewable Energy sectors while maintaining the required level of safety.
Developed to streamline the PPT process and offer consistent global application of methodology, the IECRE System ensures uniform implementation and mutual recognition between certification bodies and test laboratories.
Florin Pintilie, PPT Team Leader at SgurrEnergy, said “We were delighted to get the seal of approval from the IECRE especially given that SgurrEnergy is one of the first consultancies in the world to have achieved this important milestone.
“Being recognised as a Renewable Energy Testing Lab (RETL) for Power Performance Testing (PPT) gives our clients the extra confidence that they are working with an approved, world-class business.”
