Solar architecture to take centre stage at Solarexpo 2010
Solarexpo – the international exhibition and conference on renewable energy and distributed generation to be held at Verona Exhibition Centre, Italy, on 5-7 May 2010 – presents for its next edition SOLARCH, building solar design & technologies. This special event will see solar architecture take centre stage in a multimedial exhibition experience based on latest-generation technologies.
Luca Zingale, Solarexpo’s scientific director, said: “This themed area will showcase the most innovative technologies and the best international projects in solar design and complete building integration of photovoltaics and solar thermal. In other words, SOLARCH will be the highest expression of the unison between solar technology and contemporary architectonic language.”
Sara Quotti Tubi, director of Solarexpo, said: “The SOLARCH area will be created using latest-generation multimedia systems to offer visitors a highly interactive tour rather than just a passive experience. This is a unique initiative that’s never been seen before at any trade fair.”
The project
This will be a special exhibition area within Solarexpo, dominated by the colours black and orange. The primary form of a large cube will take centre stage as the structural, conceptual and technological element where visitors can interact and give form to the projects on display.
The technologies exhibited will come to life and become an integral part of the installation thanks to interactive video projections. Visitors will therefore be able to create their own technological exhibition in three dimensions.
SOLARCH will see the participation of major international companies that have constantly distinguished themselves for their architectonic excellence and leadership in designing integrated solar technologies.
