The roving exhibition ‘Biomass in your Home’, organised by AVEBIOM, will be making its first stop in Valladolid on 26th February
Over four days the people of Valladolid will be able to find out about what biomass is, how it is transformed and supplied, and how biomass equipment works in houses and buildings
The Spanish Association for the Valorisation of Biomass – AVEBIOM is running the roadshow, which will travel to ten Spanish cities in 2015, to let people know about the advantages of using biomass as an energy source for heating and hot water in home. Valladolid was chosen to host the campaign’s public debut.
The roadshow, which starts in Valladolid on 26th February and continues there at the Acera de Recoletos until Sunday 1st March, shows AVEBIOM’s firm commitment towards the public and its determination to spread the word of how good biomass can be for a household. The idea is to go out onto the street to explain the advantages of installing ‘Biomass in your Home’ to the general public. To do this, the show will travel to several locations, showing equipment in operation and providing useful information about the benefits of using biomass to heat homes.
Javier Díaz, President of AVEBIOM, is convinced that “this initiative will mark a before and an after in the implementation of biomass installations in buildings, because what users need is the information that will allow them to make decisions, and it is obvious that no one demands what they do not know about.” And that is exactly what the show is about: “providing people with the information and evaluation criteria that they need to gain a clear idea of the choices offered by biomass in the domestic sphere,” insisted Díaz.
The sector leader also pointed out that “with ‘Biomass in your Home’ AVEBIOM is repaying a debt because, a decade after being set up and after numerous projects aimed at professionals, specific action aimed at the general public was still pending and finally something has been organised that can definitively launch biomass for heating uses in towns and cities.”
After Valladolid, the next cities confirmed on the agenda are: Vitoria-Gasteiz, from 5th to 8th March at the Plaza de los Fueros; and Logroño, from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th March at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. The subsequent stops will be Burgos and Guadalajara, where dates still have to be finalised with local authorities.
