Using ultrasonic heat meters - Case study
Courtesy of iCenta Controls Ltd
Ultrasonic heat meters are compatible and regularly used in RHI supported commercial wood pellet heating systems that provide energy for heating and hot water.
iCenta has supplied Gwres Glas, a Powys based company designing and installing renewable energy systems, with ultrasonic heat meters as part of its commercial wood pellet heating systems, providing energy for heating and hot water.
Biomass heat generation is eligible for support through the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) so the heat meters supplied needed to be RHI compliant MID Class II approved for biomass boilers and heat pumps to meet OfGEM requirements.
icenta was selected to supply the heat meters because of its understanding of the application together with an ability to meet requirements and ongoing technical support.
