Wärtsilä Energy transfers certain activities to Citec in Finland

Wärtsilä Energy has decided to increase its flexibility in close collaboration with its long-term engineering partner Citec. Wärtsilä is transferring certain mechanical & civil project engineering, project quality assurance and module & component change orders and product care activities to Citec as of October 1, 2021. Approximately 40 employees, located in Vaasa, Finland, will consequently be transferred as so-called old employees to Citec Oy Ab.
Wärtsilä Energy helps its customers in decarbonisation by developing market-leading technologies. These cover future-fuel enabled balancing power plants, hybrid solutions, energy storage and optimisation technology, including the GEMS energy management platform. Wärtsilä Energy’s lifecycle services are designed to increase efficiency, promote reliability and guarantee operational performance.
