Its 2hr maximum endurance and high wind resistance allow users to triple their productivity when comparing to other sub-1Kg drones which require constant landings between missions to swap the batteries and can’t fly is moderate to strong winds.
The Aeromapper Talon can operate in tight areas thanks to its parachute system and simplicity of hand launches. Its field-proven long-range communications link enables users to fly as far as 30kms away from the launch location, making it ideal for BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) missions, having strong telemetry and control links.
The Aeromapper Talon now features ADS-B: the drone reports live the location and altitude of nearby manned aircraft so all operators can safely share airspace.

Why Choose The Aeromapper Talon
The Aeromapper Talon offers the easiest way to achieve ultra-accurate data for surveying, photogrammetry & mapping, DEMs, orthomosaics, point clouds and more with exceptional image resolution and high accuracy. The Aeromapper Talon takes five minutes to get ready in the field and flies fully autonomously after it is hand launched, and lands via parachute recovery or automatic belly landing. The standard kit is delivered with a 24 megapixel RGB camera along but can also be order with a wide range of additional sensors. This impressive fixed wing drone offers up to 2 hours of maximum endurance it its standard configuration (that is, with the default 24 Mp RGB camera). Its airframe is made in durable EPO foam body (not Styrofoam) and reinforced with carbon fiber, providing many years of use and abuse.
The Aeromapper Talon can cover up to 8 Km2 (800 has = 1,970 acres) per flight at 400ft agl achieving 2.4 cm/pixel. Higher resolutions can be achieved with its optional 36 Mp RGB camera.
Now the Aeromapper Talon can be ordered with the Emlid Reach M2 PPK UAV Mapping kit, which consists of a multi-band GNSS receiver onboard the aircraft and the Reach RS2, a dual-frequency GNSS base. This kit provides absolutely the best solution for accurate mapping in PPK mode, providing centimeter accuracy on your deliverables with minimal or no Ground Control Points.
NEW! Now, of 2020 all our Aeromapper Talons are now shipped with an integrated ADS-B live air traffic data system, allowing the drone operator to receive flight information from other manned aircraft within a 100km radius. This upgrade provides an unprecedented level of flight safety to your UAV operations. The system receives information such as position, altitude, speed, trajectory and map location which can be viewed in Mission Planner in real time.
The Aeromapper Talon comes equipped with a 24Mp RGB camera as standard configuration, but it can be upgraded to a 36 Mp for photogrammetry with stunning resolution.
The Micasense Rededge M or MX professional multispectral sensors can also be ordered for the Aeromapper Talon for the ultimate too in large area crop health analysis and precision agriculture. These sensors are swappable with the primary RGB camera and Emlid M2 UAV PPK Mapping kit.
Additionally, we can integrate other sensors such as Parrot Sequoia, Flir Thermal sensors or others, on request.
Surveillance Payload
Order our Eyeshot Pro video payload to add scouting and observation capabilities to your Aeromapper Talon. Inspect an area of interest from long distances and gather HD video or thermal imagery for later analysis. This payload option provides real-time high-resolution video from the forward-looking cameras, either day or thermal infrared. Available with a standard link range of 20kms but extendable to 40kms upon request.

Aeromapper Talon Key Features
The Aeromapper Talon is now available with the Emlid Reach M2 PPK UAV Mapping kit to drastically cut the number of ground control points (GCPs) and simplify the setup process on-site, while maximizing the accuracy to centimeter levels even in remote areas. This optional addition includes the Reach M2 Multi-band GNSS receiver onboard the aircraft and Reach RS2 is a multi-band RTK GNSS receiver as base. The system tracks GPS/QZSS (L1, L2), GLONASS (L1, L2), BeiDou (B1, B2), Galileo (E1, E5) constellations and allows working over longer baselines of up to 100 km in PPK mode.
The Aeromapper Talon is equipped with an ADS-B system for live air traffic data reporting, allowing the drone operator to receive flight information from manned aircraft within a 100km radius. The system receives information such as position, altitude, speed, trajectory and map location which can be viewed in Mission Planner flight management software in real time.
The ideal tool for surveying and precision agriculture when used with any of our multispectral camera options available, Micasense Readedge MX or Micasense Altum. As manufacturers we can custom-install other brands and makes of sensors and cameras. Please Contact Us to get a quote for a custom installation of your sensor of choice.
With our new Eyeshot Pro real time video system you can have a constant eye in the sky when not doing mapping missions. This payload is swappable so you don’t have to get another aircraft. Ideal for situational awareness, inspection, wild life observation, surveillance, environmental monitoring, infrastructure monitoring.
In addition to parachute recovery, the Aeromapper talon automatically belly lands perfectly every time, even in strong crosswind situations. Minimum area for a parachute recovery is 50x 20m. Minimum area required for an automatic belly landing is 150m long x 10m wide.
