Technical Characteristics
Coutex Archimedes screws are highly efficient (average 75%), using fewer pumps as there are no deep collection pits. Our screws are adapted to the water flow they receive, eliminating the water spots produced by other systems. Another feature is the low hydraulic resistance and minimal friction loss in the absence of induction and delivery pressure. They are made of carbon steel blasted to grade SA 2 1/2 and three layers of protective paint are then applied with a total thickness of 300 µ. Minimum maintenance needed:
- Automatic lubrication of bearings
- There are no bushings to be replaced
- Less frequent start-up than a conventional pump, which extends the life of all electrical equipment
The low maintenance and durability of the Coutex bearing systems currently dictate the construction of hundreds of Archimedes screws.
