Based on many years of experience with the combustion of wood chips, wood pellets, sawmill offcuts, sawdust and shavings,  BIOKOMPAKT® - Heiztechnik GmbH has succeeded in developing a problem-free way to run a heating system on small-diameter biomass such as grain, straw and other biomass grain derivatives such as corn on the cob, cherry stones or rapeseed pellets.

Through the use of fuels with different calorific ratings, it is essential during combustion to adapt the delivery rate of fuel in response to quality and water content, meaning that the combustion process needs to extend across a wide range of options. In order to achieve optimum combustion in every performance range, the delivery of fuel is monitored and corrected continuously by the 'MC V oxygen sensor control' function.

  • With optimum configuration of the combustion chamber, this system is suitable for a remarkably wide range of fuel types. Many setup configurations are possible, with scope for attaching the boiler at either side. It is therefore possible to install this system in almost any boiler room.
  • Depending on customer preference, the boiler can be loaded with fuel using any of 8 different loading systems.
  • Special versions and/or combinations with existing delivery systems can also be offered if required.
  • Furthermore, this system can also be used to burn other biogenic and grain-based types of fuel.
  • Systems are available with nominal heating power ratings of 20 kW up to 130 kW.
  • The AWK /ECO version of boiler can be equipped with an integrated dust separator for dusty fuels.
  • The maximum dust content in flue gas from the burning of woodchip and wood pellets is below 50 mg of dust per Nm³. As an optional extra, automatic flue gas scrubbing and container-type ash removal can be provided on all models.

  • Standard flue gas fan, integrated in boiler, therefore independent of flue / smokestack.
  • Separated closed loop control of primary and secondary air blowers with preheating of air for damp and dirty fuel.
  • Gasification zone and combustion chamber made of refractory ceramics for optimum combustion of wood chip and biomass with a water content of up to 40%.
  • Emergency operation possible with timber off-cuts.
  • Generously sized heat exchanger and 80 mm boiler insulation deliver minimal heat losses, also achieving an efficiency rating of 93.4% during part-load operation.
  • Up to 94.3% of the heat generated can be employed effectively.
  • In the case of smooth, upright heating surfaces, only very minor maintenance and cleaning work is required.
  • The flow-optimized ducting of flue gases means that flying ash is automatically deposited in the integrated container provided for this purpose. This reduces mechanical wear, and no additional electrical power is required for heat exchanger operation.
  • The modular design enables a choice of up to 8 different loading systems to be implemented in this equipment.
  • The 'INDUSTRIAL' version is also suitable for use with timber off-cuts and other biomass with a length of up to 20 mm - 60mm Ø.
  • Integrated ash container with a content of 35 litres extends the maintenance intervals.
  • Depending on customer preference, the boiler can be loaded with fuel using any of 8 different loading systems.
  • Special versions and/or combinations with existing delivery systems can also be offered if required.
