BPOWER - Flue Gas ORC Systems
The flue gas ORCs can be installed successfully everywhere where flue gases from the technological process or waste heat in the form of hot air > 350 °C leave through a chimney, without any further use. The fact is that the flue gas ORC behaves as an ordinary flue gas heat exchanger. By installing the flue gas ORC you obtain both the production of electric energy for covering your own consumption in the enterprise premises, but also heat in the form of hot water of temperature up to 90 °C. Thanks to these two commodities you can include this ORC technology in the category of combined production of electricity and heat – KVET. It only depends on the operator in which KVET regime it will operate ORC.
Products Details
The flue gas ORCs are connected from higher outputs (350kWel) to a source of heat by means of oil management. Then we can achieve higher ariability of the system, e.g. by the exact design of the flue gas heat exchanger for the given type of flue gases, placing of the ORC system outside technology with pipe interconnection of oil management, etc.
Flue gases from the ORC system further exit via a chimney of temperature of approx. 180 °C – 210 °C. This is also the temperature to which the efficiency of the whole system is additionally calculated that is approx. 18 - 22%. Thanks to characteristics and temperature parameters of flue gas ORCs, the ambient temperature has a de facto negligible impact on the ORC system efficiency.
