Ecoprogetti’s sun simulator module tester represents a new generation of sun simulator thanks to the use of LED as light source. The use of LED, more than consent a supply of radiation in triple class A fully respecting IEC 60904-09 gives more benefits like: prompt feedback, high luminosity efficiency that brings a minimal power dissipation and possibility of obtaining impulses of customized duration and frequency. The unit is suitable for testing both standard crystalline modules and thin-film and back-contact solar cell modules. The impulse duration of the simulator can be extended to more than five seconds, while maintaining an A-class radiation stability.
Description
The possibility of use a long pulse with a duration that reaches 5seconds, allows to perform power measurements precise and not affected by phenomenon of parasitic capacity. This makes the sun simulator for photovoltaic modules ready for a new generation of high efficiency cells and junction boxes with very low loss. The LED solar simulator Ecosun10L has been awarded a triple A class according to standard EN60904-9 from TϋV Intercert.
Control software
This measuring instrument is equipped with an advanced management software that control the machine and store the measured data in an special SQL database. For a PV module manufacturers is essential to know how refer the measurements under the STC condition and maintain a full traceability of each IV curve measured for the entire lifetime of a photovoltaic module. The software developed by Ecoprogetti allow to store in a database all the details of each measure and keep track of the chain of calibration of the instrument.
The database can be accessed even from differen locations so other machine or software can communicate with the solar simulator to manage the entire production of pv modules.
