Green Hydrogen.
Green Hydrogen or Liquid Hydrogen is fast positioning its rightful place as a significant future fuel. The Fabrum Team have pioneered a Green Hydrogen solution that delivers the future today. Read on for the fundamentals of this super fuel, details of how this looks for heavy transport and what’s to come with aviation.
Hydrogen Supplies.
Fabrum customers typically start with the size of an electrolyser that matches their fossil fuel replacement requirements. For example, a 1.1 MW Membrane Free Hydrogen production system, delivered as a containerised, decentralised and distributed solution, produces 450kg of hydrogen per day.
The advantage of this system is it can scale with the demand growth.
A 2.2 MW unit is also available, producing 900kg of hydrogen daily. It can be provided as two 40-foot containers either side by side or stacked on top, depending on the available footprint and expected growth.
A containerized and Decentralised Hydrogen Infrastructure solution allows customers to operate on-site, be self-sufficient and produce liquid hydrogen to fuel your feet bus, truck, forklift, marine, or heavy vehicle.
The world will see an accelerated rollout of global refuelling stations as a result of a focus on climate change and geopolitical instability driving a shift in energy agendas.
This means hydrogen Liquefiers will be available sooner than you think. Refueling with Liquid Hydrogen Systems will be just like the experience of a normal refueling station.
Hydrogen Safety.
In many industrial, aviation, transport and medical environments, dangerous goods and gases are used, and the same level of care and diligence is needed with hydrogen.
This is familiar terrain for the team here at Fabrum, as we’ve worked with inert noble gases extending to highly explosive ones. We span air, liquid oxygen, nitrogen, helium, argon, methane, and hydrogen. We work closely with international standards and Standards NZ as the country adopts new safety standards for hydrogen for handling and refuelling.

Fabrum’S Expertise In Green Hydrogen.
This is our sweet spot with expertise in producing Liquid oxygen and liquid Nitrogen with the AFCryocooler range, it’s a natural step to now produce liquid Hydrogen from the gaseous form. This is where we like to play – deploying and combining our skills and IP in storage, fuel tanks and cryogenics.
As a company we foster talent and have strong links with local engineering school at University of Canterbury and Ara Institute of Canterbury along with commercialisation of IP from research institutes.
