Ganz - Mini Hydro Power Station
From Hydro Power Station
Makes it difficult to utilize remote but economically valuable areas, because of the costs and time-consume to build up an electricity network. Ganz EEM Llc., by its mini-hydro power station, offers a simple, fast and cost-effective solution to attach to the regional business the remote areas, rich in hydro power, but they are without built up electrical network, or has electrical network which working on expensive and polluting diesel engine generators.
Product Details
The innovative station was developed by engineers of Ganz EEM Llc. All the equipment of the mini hydro power station will be mounted in standard size containers, so shortly after the arrival could be placed in operation, and managed remotely over satellite system connection.
The installation and operation requirements of the mini station is the continuously available potential hydro-power, from what the electrical power could be generated.
The main advantage of this system, that after the arrival of the station, it is could be easily placed in operation, and the electrical power generation could be started right after the containers are fitted safely on their place and the water pipes and cables are connected. All the equipment, which is necessary to operate, control and manage the mini hydro-power station, are built into the installed system.
In the absence of network system, a small diesel generator can ensure the electrical power required to start the station (black start).
The mini hydro-power station consists of medium performance turbine with horizontal axis and connected to the generator and control units, and can provide electrical power at rated voltage of 3x400V (50Hz). The operation of station needs 1m3 water per second and 60-65 meter of water drop height. With these basic settings a system with 500kW rated power can be built.
The significant increase of water volume is limited by the physical dimensions of a turbine placed in the standard container. Larger available volume of water can be utilized well and economically by installing multiple mini hydro turbines, depending on electrical power needs. Depending on the amount of water and its drop height, a power station with rated capacity up to 2MW can be built into a standard size container. But depending on the conditions, another solution may be available to utilize the larger volume of water.
The mini hydro-power station can operate in island grid system mode. All the equipment will be fitted in two containers. In one are placed the turbine and water connection system. In the other are placed the electrical and operation control system. To install the station on site previously must be done the concreting of the receiving base, the water intake, the stream shutter, the pipeline and the local grid connection.
