Features DRPD-15 Partial Discharge Analyzer
Designed for compatibility, the DRPD-15 will operate with existing PD sensors of any brand or make. This allows for additional customer benefit by saving the purchasing, engineering and installation costs of new sensors. The included Microsoft WindowTM based software allows for configuration, uploading of stored data and analysis.
The analyzer’s advanced noise cancellation capabilities include the elimination of cross coupled signals. The DRPD-15 is powered by either line voltage or its on-board battery, making it invaluable in areas where an AC power source is not available. Designed with a rugged enclosure the analyzer is lightweight and can be used in harsh environments.
DRPD User Panel
The instrument comes in a small light weight enclosure and has a build-in LCD display with a hermetically sealed membrane keypad. The display provides indication on the state of a measurement, errors and PD levels.
All fifteen PD channels have identical isolated input circuitry and protection. Each channel can be easily and independently designated as either a signal or noise input. Furthermore, each channel can be independently adjusted for sensitivity and noise reduction, which improves the signal-to-noise ratio. Build-in user configurable hardware noise separation methods include:
- Time-of-Flight
- Pulse Shape Analysis
- Pulse Polarity Comparison
- Magnitude Comparison
- Gating Techniques
All PD data is stored in the form of calculated integrals including PD magnitudes in mV or pC, pulse count, and partial discharge intensity and operational characteristics such as temperature, humidity and load current. As well as complete phase resolved data.
DRPD-15 is designed to connect to permanently installed sensors on equipment such as motors, generators, switchgear, bus duct and cables.
Typical sensors that can be used with the DRPD-15 include:
- Capacitive Couplers
- RTDs
- RFCTs
- Stator Slot Couplers
- Rogowski Coils
