Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger
Tubular or shell and tube heat exchanger consist of graphite pipes and tube sheets, in which the pipes are fastened. For the guidance of the medium on the shell side and the stabilization of the apparatus baffles are assigned. Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger are characterised by a very small pressure loss and are suitable in particular for applications, with which a large heat exchange surface is needed. They are easy to dismantle and individual pipes can be made blind if needed. Fibre-reinforced pipes for special applications are available, whereby the mechanical strength is improved.
