Solamics Bunsen - Thermodynamic Hot Water Solar Panel
From Products
Solamics Ltd. have used extensive research and development data to create significant improvements to the performance of their thermodynamic, hot water panels
Product Details
Bunsen Air Solar Collector Panels are made from aluminium, which is a very efficient conductor of heat. Within each hot water panel, are specifically designed flow channels which optimise the flow of the refrigerant across the full surface area, while allowing for the refrigerant to heat up and expand. These designs are highly advanced and are currently ‘patent pending’.
Another important feature of the Bunsen Air Hot Water Panels, is their ‘patent pending’ dual exhaust feature. Dual Exhaust technology allows the heated gas to flow away from the panels with far less restrictions, which in turn, significantly increases the panel efficiency. We found the Bunsen Air Solar Panel efficiency improved by 30% when the dual exhaust and new flow channels were introduced.
Dual panels are standard for the Bunsen Air Thermodynamic Water Heating system. The large surface area of the panels, combined with the technical advantages of the panel design, are central to the exceptional performance of the Bunsen Air in all weathers and in extreme temperatures.
The dual panels are mounted externally, ideally within 10 meters pipe-run distance of the Bunsen Air unit. There are options for the positioning of the panels:
- Pitched roof – you may prefer to mount the panels on the roof to keep them out of the way.
- Vertical Wall – there is no problem mounting the panels on any vertical wall
- Flat roof or ground mounted – as long as there is a minimal pitch then the flat surface is no problem.
In addition the panels can be mounted in Landscape or Portrait, and where space is a limiting factor, then the panels can be placed one behind the other (like a sandwich) to take up the space of just a single panel.
Each system is provided with mounting brackets with six mounting points allocated to each panel. However if the brackets are no suitable, then it may be necessary to use some additional mounting rail to securely fit the panels. This should be confirmed in the site survey.
