Turbogenerators
From Power Generation Equipment
More than 2701 turbogenerators with the total capacity of 275.1 GW (or 323.6 GV*A) have been produced in all. The power of the turbogenerators produced ranges from 2 to 1200 MW. The Power Machines’ turbogenerators are under operation in 44 countries of the world. The first Power Machines’ turbogenerator was manufactured by the Elektrosila branch in 1924.

Major Advantages
High economical efficiency and reliability
The turbogenerators produced by the Company are noted for the availability of structure components for mounting and servicing, high reliability, maintainability and environmental safety. The following conditions provide for high marketability, reliability, prolonged useful life of turbogenerators made by Electrosila, the Power Machines’ branch:
- low heating and vibration level;
- high efficiency factor;
- operation in modes with reactive power consumption;
- availability of emergency oil feed and removable brush units;
- noise protective enclosures, elastic suspension of stator core and rotor hydraulic lift.
Design and researches
Design and researches imply usage of advanced calculation means including calculations computerization by modern computer packages as well as design drawings computerization.
All equipment is subject to passing through the required check and control at the factory prior to the delivery to the customer. The above allows for the optimized terms of the equipment mounting and commissioning.
Auxiliary Equipment
Turbogenerators delivery set:
- a generator with complete or partial noise protective enclosure;
- an excitation system;
- cooling and ventilation systems;
- an automatic control and diagnostics system;
- sets of spare parts, installation tools and materials;
- a technical documentation package.
As per the customer’s request turbogenerators are equipped by excitation systems of the following types:
- thyristor self-excitation systems (TSES);
- thyristor independent-excitation systems (TSES);
- diode brushless systems (DBS);
- thyristor self-excitation systems, reversible, excitation (TSES-R) for asynchronized turbogenerators.
Static frequency converters are additionally set at the turbogenerators coupled with gas turbines.
