AirScience - Process Gas Desulfurization Unit
From AirScience - Technologies
THE SULFOX REG PROCESS for 0,5 to 3.0 g/Nm³ Concentrations: The SulfoxREG is a gas desulfurization process that convert sulfur in raw gas to concentrated sulfuric acid. The SulfoxREG process is designed for treatment of gas having H2S and CS2 concentrations from 0,5 to 3.0 g/Nm³ (in total). Using a highly efficient regenerative catalytic oxidizer system the plant can be operated without additional fuel or electric energy even at low concentrations. The concentration of the sulfuric acid produced is in the 50% range.

The Sulfox NK Process for 1.0 to 20 g/Nm³ Concentrations
The SulfoxNK is a gas desulfurization process that converts sulfur in raw gas to concentrated sulfuric acid. The SulfoxNK process is suitable for sulfur concentrations of 1.0 to 20 g/Nm³ in the raw gas. The Process includes a catalytic oxidation reactor followed by a cooling system where sulfur trioxide is converted into sulfuric acid. The concentrated acid is then collected in a wet electrostatic precipitator. Sulfuric acid produced will have a concentration up to 98%.
The Sulfox HK Process for 20 g/Nm³ and Higher Concentrations
The SulfoxHK is a gas desulfurization process that converts sulfur in raw gas to concentrated sulfuric acid. The SulfoxHK process is suitable for high sulfur concentrations in excess of 20 g/Nm³ in the raw gas. The Process includes a multiple pass catalytic oxidation reactor with intermediate cooling at each pass. The catalytic reactor is followed by a cooling system where sulfur trioxide is converted into sulfuric acid. The concentrated acid is then collected in a wet electrostatic precipitator. Sulfuric acid produced will have a concentration up to 98%. Due to the high sulfur concentration in the raw gas the process is exothermic and converts the excess heat in high pressure steam and electricity.
