Developed to support our Architectural and Electrical Designers, G2 Design recognised the requirement for Civil and Structural Design services to ensure G2 are capable of delivering the full turnkey design service to our customers. It could be that we are required to undertake a set of calculations regarding a supporting beam as part of a house extension, or design the foundations for a large Electrical Transformer including the rebar schedule. The work is diverse and complementary to our main departments.

Substation Enclosure / Solutions
g2 Energy can design a bespoke substation enclosure specific to your requirements and to the specification of the relevant Distribution Network Operator (DNO).
Whether you require a Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) housing or a brick built enclosure, g2 can provide a full design and build service, including the substation plinth / foundations.
Wind Turbine Foundations:
g2 Energy are able to provide customers with Wind Turbine Foundation designs for a large variety of wind turbine manufacturers and sizes – we can work to any specification.
Excavation & Cable Laying:
g2 Energy are also able to offer a complete design service for all associated cable laying and excavations. As a Lloyds NERs registered company, we are able to design and build the Contestable element of your project, which can result in a much lower quotation to the one provided by the DNO.
Enabling Works:
Depending on your requirements, g2 Energy are able to incorporate all enabling works which are appropriate to your renewable energy project, including provision of designs for access roads, crane pads, and any other design solution to ensure smooth construction progress on site.
