Engineering, Construction, and License Implementation Services
NPSI’ project managers specialize in the oversight of low-impact design of hydroelectric projects. These project managers oversee the design firms efforts to ensure the design is in compliance with the commitments of the licensee and are in agreement with best practices cultivated over decades of hydroelectric construction and operation.
Once the project is designed NPSI project engineers oversee the construction of a variety of hydroelectric projects across the United States. It ensures the project is constructed in compliance with the issued federal license and other permits. An important aspect of construction of hydroelectric projects as regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is the Quality Control and Inspection Program (QCIP). The QCIP must be independent from the contractor, NPSI provides this service with its own and team members made up of local material testing labs, inspectors and engineering firms.
