Cheema Civil Engineering Ltd can provide finance options to fund products, technologies and turnkey solutions from effluent treatment through to solar power and LED lighting projects. This can vary from simple lease purchase schemes through to a unique 'Provision of Service' solution through our corporate finance partner. Funds are immediately available at competitive rates for qualifying projects.
Provision of Service Solutions
Our proposed principle of a ‘Provision of Service’ is proven with the following benefits:
- Attractive capital funding rates
- Long agreement period, typically 7 to 10 years
- A true supply agreement – payment only commences when a service is provided
- Customer only pays for the service when its installed and operating
- The Operation and Maintenance Contractor has performance obligations
The funding is normally provided through tax efficient funds, which means competitive finance rates provided by experienced funders that specialise in environmental and sustainable technologies sector.
Enhanced Capital Allowances
Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs) enable a business to claim 100% first-year capital allowances on their spending on qualifying plant and machinery. There are three schemes for ECAs:
- Energy-saving plant and machinery
- Low carbon dioxide emission cars and natural gas and hydrogen refueling infrastructure
- Water conservation plant and machinery
Businesses can write off the whole of the capital cost of their investment in these technologies against their taxable profits of the period during which they make the investment. This can deliver a helpful cash flow boost and a shortened payback period.
The Carbon Trust Interest Free Loan Scheme
The Carbon Trust 0% loans are designed to reduce carbon emissions by enabling businesses to overcome the capital barrier of purchasing energy saving equipment.
Loans are interest free, provided on an unsecured basis, and you can borrow a sum flexible to your business needs of between £3,000 and £400,000. Repayments are offered on a 12 to 48 month basis.
Energy and Carbon savings that are created by changing traditional lighting to LED lighting are used to assess the loan amount for an eligible project.
The Carbon Trust is a non profit organisation supported by the government to help UK businesses and the public sector to cut carbon emissions.
Cheema will help you throughout the process of application, delivery and budgeting for the repayments through accurate indications of monthly savings after installation.
The Salix Finance Interest Free Loan Scheme
Salix is an independent, publicly funded company set up to accelerate public sector investment in energy efficiency technologies through invest to save schemes.
The scheme will provide interest free loans to pay for the installation of a wide range of energy efficiency measures across the public sector estate – providing 100% support in making further progress towards reducing their energy bills and carbon emissions. All public sector organisations in England are eligible to apply.
The minimum amount available is £5,000 per application with no upper limit providing all projects can be completed within 9 months of agreed application. The loan will be interest free. Loans are available for energy saving lighting projects.
The repayments should be covered from the energy savings achieved by the projects and organisations can keep all the savings generated once the loan is repaid.
