- These plants are characterized by 3 main macro areas, designed ad hoc, to manage the specificity of the collected substrates:
- PRE-SELECTION AND PRETREATMENT: specific machines for the selection of the fermentable part, removal of unwanted materials (bags, plastics, metals, ...) and homogenization of the substance entering the digester;
- ANAEROBIC DIGESTION: wet CSTR technology with ad hoc solutions for the management of substrates and the maximization of biological process efficiency;
- DIGESTATE TREATMENT: after a preliminary separation of the digestate, Sebigas offers appropriate systems for recovery and enhancement of the solid and liquid fraction in accordance with the best available technologies and with the utmost respect for design and environmental sustainability.
In 2018 SEBIGAS started its first treatment plant for the FORSU (Organic Fraction of Urban Solid Waste) for the production of biomethane, in Sarmato (PC), designed and built for Maserati Energia Srl, a historic Italian company that has always been active in composting of organic waste.
The plant manages up to 55,000 tons / year of organic material , and produces over 600 m3 / hour of biomethane, 5,300,000 m3 every year, which is then introduced into the national natural gas transportation network.
