Circular calcium carbonate solutions for rubber & elastomers industry - Plastics & Resins
Calcium carbonate is used in a wide variety of rubber applications to increase tensile strength, enhance rigidity and much more. Our Circular Calcium Carbonate further adds important sustainable benefits. Applying CCC enables rubber producers to cost effectively increase the circular content in their products, which in turn minimises their carbon footprint and reduces their use of primary resources.
Application tests with CCC have been performed in collaboration with commercial rubber manufacturers and knowledge institutions like the Elastomer Competence Centre (University of Twente). From these tests it has emerged that partial and full replacement of linear calcium carbonate (ground calcium carbonate, or GCC) and other fillers with CCC is possible.
