Hydrothermal Liquefaction (HTL) Plant for Advanced Biofuels Center (ABC) - Oil, Gas & Refineries

The ABC is comprised of two distinct operations:  A lab-scale Refinery, and an Analytic Laboratory dedicated to characterizing Hydrofaction^® and Upgraded Oils to support third-party and potential partner investigations of Steeper’s products.

Commissioning of the ABC was completed in November 2021 and includes units to perform full upgrading of Hydrofaction^® Oil to finished fuels including marine, diesel, and jet fuels.
