A growing problem for the world’s well being
On the face of it, organic waste is not a major problem. After all, the definition of organic waste is ‘materials that originated from living organisms’. In other words, biodegradable materials that come from either a plant or an animal. The fact is, however, that the rapidly expanding levels of organic waste are now the cause of worrying forecasts and it is why more and more companies and organisations, as well as local, national and international authorities, are looking very closely at how efficient organic waste management can help to control what could well quickly become a very serious environmental problem.
To a large extent waste plant matter is not the major concern because much of that can be composted to produce a valuable recycled commodity. Although if this is simply sent to landfill then it can produce worrying levels of methane gas that eventually finds its way into the atmosphere.
A much bigger problem, and one that is of far greater concern, is how to dispose of organic animal waste. That means animal carcasses, plus the vast amount of animal waste that is produced every day.
One answer, and a sustainable environmentally responsible answer at that, is waste incineration. You could also add in pet cremation, animal carcass incineration and human cremation. Particularly where large quantities of organic waste are concerned Matthews Environmental Solutions (MES) advanced scientific incineration technology ensures the perfect organic waste management solution.
MES organic incineration systems are now providing excellent service in many different countries all around the world. Some of these are standard or customised systems, but many of them are bespoke solutions designed specifically to meet the individual requirements of the organisation concerned.
For instance, we design, engineer and install organic waste management technology for countless abattoirs, farms, zoos, veterinary practices, wildlife parks, hospitals and food processing concerns along with many leading environmental agencies and public authorities.
From a small, stand-alone unit designed to deal with the daily accumulation of animal waste in a busy dog’s home; up to the colossal 5000kg/hr animal remains incineration system that was purpose-designed, manufactured and installed at Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to dispose of the thousands of tonnes of animal remains resulting from the annual Hajj Pilgrimage and Festival.
Every single organic waste management incinerator designed and produced by MES is one hundred per cent compliant with the world’s most stringent operational and environmental standards and regulations.
In other words, you can be totally confident that if you operate an MES organic waste incineration, a pet cremation, animal incinerator or human cremation system you will be managing your disposal problem in the most effective, most cost-efficient and most environmentally responsible way possible.
And with the ever-increasing need for a sustainable, cost-effective solution … environmentally sound organic waste management has never been more important.
