Anaerobic Digesters
Anaerobic digesters/Biogas storage tanks are widely utilized at fields of industry, agriculture or municipality. Amongst of them using anaerobic digestion to generate biogas from organic wastes is increasingly becoming one of the most important and popular utilization.
The process of anaerobic digestion is used for industrial or domestic purposes to manage waste or to produce bio-energy. Anaerobic digestion is already a mature process technology to get green renewable energy. The process produces biogas, consisting of methane, carbon dioxide and traces of other 'contaminant' gases. This biogas can be used directly as fuel, in combined heat and power gas engines or upgraded to natural gas-quality biomethane. The nutrient-rich digestate also produced can be used as fertilizer.
Center Enamel's Glass-Fused-to-Steel Tanks are acting as various anaerobic digesters in such above mentioned processes and applications. It could be thermophilic digesters, mesophilic digesters or hydrolysis tanks amongst all of these processes where anaerobic environment is required.
When it comes to the cover solutions of an anaerobic digester, it could be a Glass-Fused-to-Steel roof or PVC coated double membrane gasholder. It will be determined by the AD process requirements. Center Enamel is able to provide both covers. When AD tank is covered with double membrane gas holder, the anaerobic digester itself is also acting as a biogas storage tank of whose top is collecting biogas, this is common to be seen at many plants.
Considering the plant investment in a long-term on a whole, Center Enamel's Glass-Fused-to-Steel tank is the most suitable and cost-effective choice of the anaerobic digester.
