Barden Biomass is here to help you conform to Ofgem RHI Audits
Lack of paperwork and changes to your biomass system are just some of the things which can lead to your Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) being stopped, which is why our specialist consultants/Engineers at Barden Biomass are here to help your RHI inspection go as smoothly as possible. We offer a service to attend your site, so any queries can be resolved on that day, with the paperwork following at a later date.
We have compiled a short list here of some of the things you may not be aware of, which could flag up concerns with Ofgem:
- No equipment maintenance is being carried out.
- Updates have been done to your system which Ofgem are not aware of, or you haven’t notified Ofgem of installing additional capacity. This is particularly important as changing any element of your system can impact on your RHI.
- Paperwork is not being kept, particularly keeping delivery notes for fuel and not submitting additional fuel data.
- Accurate Periodic data hasn’t been submitted to Ofgem, such as meter readings and sustainability information.
Notifying Ofgem of any change in your circumstance and ensuring all your records are in place, should make for a smooth Ofgem inspection. Louise Barden, Director, at Barden Biomass, said, “Ofgem are rather like a VAT inspector, so if something isn’t right your RHI can be stopped for a number of months, which will obviously impact on your cashflow. Our consultants, however, can guide you through the process, ensuring everything is done in the right manner. This will take the worry out of you conforming to an Ofgem RHI Audit – and will also make for a smoothly run inspection.”
