Combined Heat and Power Paper Industry, Fedrigoni- Case Study
Since 1888, Fedrigoni Group is one of the major global players in the production and sale of high value-added papers for packaging and graphics as well as self-adhesive products. Fedrigoni`s three plants in Italy (Arco, Verona and Fabriano) leverage a combined heat and power (CHP) solution delivered by Taurus 70 generator sets from Solar Turbines.
In Verona and Fabriano, the most recent upgrades include three new engines with reduction gear boxes in existing packages with three new generators. These upgrades allow Fedrigoni to benefit from Italian incentives for an additional 10 years.
The papermill in Arco had previously been powered by a Taurus 70 dual-shaft package, but this was recently upgraded and replaced with a new PGM70 generator set along with a new heat recovery steam generator.
