Aereon’s Air assist flare system with model 850 Flamexignition system is used in this case in Freeport, TX to dispose of heavier gases such as butane which typically have a greater tendency to smoke. Smokeless Operation is achieved through high turbulence and mixing at the tip which results in higher combustion efficiency of the waste gas. Aereon’s proprietary engineered design forces air up an outer chamber and waste gas up an inner riser, with mixing at the flare tip. This design also extends the life of the flare tip by providing a cooling affect.
