El Dorado Hills Community Pool, El Dorado County, CA - Case Study
120-Panel Solar Pool Heating & Shaded Pavilion. When the El Dorado Hills Community Pool needed a sustainable way to heat their pool, they faced two challenges. First, their existing roof lacked sufficient space for an effective solar heating system. Second, guests using the adjacent grassy area had no shaded place to escape from the intense summer sun. Maktinta Energy devised a creative solution to address both issues simultaneously.
We designed and constructed a pavilion structure above the open grass area, using it as the foundation to securely mount 120 solar heating panels. This approach delivered effective solar heating to the pool while simultaneously providing guests with a comfortable shaded area.
Like all our premium installations, this system is managed by Maktinta’s proprietary TEK Aquatic Pool Controller, an advanced energy-management system. The TEK Controller coordinates solar collectors, pool pumps, and boilers, while continuously monitoring and logging key operational parameters including pool chemistry, temperature, and hours of operation.
