Overview
Massachusetts’ Clean Energy and Climate Plan has set an ambitious standard for achieving net-zero emissions. With its stated goal of reaching least 85% below the 1990 baseline level of GHG emissions, it has outlined specific policies and strategies for achieving this goal. Watertown’s Climate and Energy Plan is an offshoot of the state’s larger energy objectives, calling for 50% solar roof coverage on new and substantially renovated buildings over 10,000 square feet.
