PICVISA is part of the eight-company consortium carrying out the SEPARA project: “Technological transformation of the waste recovery sector to promote an effective circular economy in Spanish industry”.

Led by Ecoembes from The Circular Lab’s Planta 4.0 scheme, as a key player in the Spanish waste management and treatment scene, SEPARA is seeking to lay the foundations for the intelligent digital transformation of waste sorting plants. The aim is to significantly increase the efficiency and productivity of their processes, as well as to promote future R&D projects that will enable the entire waste management sector to address the demanding challenges it will face in the coming decades.

The SEPARA project is co-financed by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of Mission No. 4 (Promoting Spanish industry in the industrial revolution of the 21st century). Its aim is to promote technological development, innovation and quality research.
