Alencon’s String Power Optimizers and Transmitters (SPOTs) are the most powerful DC-DC optimizers for utility scale PV applications found on the market today.

Alencon’s Grid Inverter Package – the GrIP – is a 10MW central PV inverter, the largest available on the market today. The GrIP uses Alencon’s Patented Harmonic Neutralization technology to shatter the barriers of price, reliability, efficiency and size of traditional PWM-based PV inverters.

Alencon’s Ground Arc and Rapid Disconnect unit, the GARD, is a unique solution for detecting harmful arc and ground faults in your PV array at the string level. The GARD also offers the ability to rapidly and safely disconnect PV strings with either a mechanical switch or remote command. The GARD can be deployed as a standalone device or in conjunction with Alencon’s String Power Optimizer and Transmitter – the SPOT. Additionally, the GARD can be used with or without remote communications. The GARD can be installed in new PV systems or as a retrofit to existing solar plants

The Alencon Fused Electrical Disconnect  (FEED) is the ideal companion to your deployment of Alencon’s SPOT or BOSS products. The FEED provides a convenient, load break DC-disconnect on the input of the SPOT and BOSS. For the BOSS, it can be used on the output as well. The FEED can also come pre-installed with appropriately rated fusing for your needs.

Alencon’s BOX form factor is a unique, cost effective option for deploying Alencon’s galvanically isolated, DC:DC converters, the SPOT and the BOSS. The BOX allows numerous SPOT or BOSS units to be deployed in a single location. Each BOX contains up to four BOSS or SPOT units, all of which can be combined into an Alencon provided junction box (JBOX).

The Alencon Isolated Disconnect - the AID - is an easy to install, cost effective accessory to accompany SPOT or BOSS deployments. It offers the ability to quickly disconnect incoming DC power to Alencon DC-DC converters under load for 600, 1000 or 1500 volt systems. It can be optionally equipped with fuses as required for your applications.

You can save money on many 600 and 1000 volt deployments of Alencon’s SPOTs by bringing two strings into each SPOT input. When doing so, if your strings are not already paralleled together, Alencon can provide its own, factory built, manufacturer approved Y-branch cable whips which are assured to put minimal stress on each SPOT input.

Alencon has partnered with IMO to offer the Fire Raptor the ultimate solar panel rapid shutdown solution - developed and designed with Fire Safety prominently in mind and compliant with stringent standards of NEC 2017. The Fire Raptor can be installed with either new PV systems or as a retrofit to existing systems to bring them into compliance with NEC 2017 and other local safety standards.
