Energy Efficiency & Demand Reduction

At AESC, we increase our clients" competitiveness in the commercial energy marketplace. We help our clients evaluate their energy needs by: Assessing current energy usage. Determining the performance of existing energy saving measures already in use at the client facility. Reducing energy costs by evaluating and recommending additional energy saving technologies. Lowering the cost to implement new energy technologies through local energy incentive programs. Evaluating options for generating client-controlled electrical power with renewable or co-generation systems.Comparing and evaluating proposals from potential energy suppliers to insure that clients receive the maximum benefit provided by the competitive energy marketplace.

Distributed Generation

As an energy engineering company, AESC has strong professional interest and broad experience in the evaluation and application of distributed generating technologies for various energy market segments. Distributed generation, the application of relatively small power plants near or at load centers, is generating competition among energy suppliers and regulated power delivery service providers. Advancements in conventional small generators (i.e. reciprocating gensets, gas turbines) and new technologies (i.e. micro-turbines and fuel cells) are proving to be more efficient, cleaner, and easier to site than larger centralized power plants.Distributed generation, therefore, has the potential to reduce power delivery costs, open new energy service markets, improve electric service reliability, and decrease environmental impacts from power generation.

Technology & Market Assessments

AESC provides a full complement of technical and management services that help energy investors identify and evaluate energy technology targets of opportunity. Growing energy demand, aging infrastructure, and the availability of new technologies all contribute to a climate of increasing opportunities for the deployment of new power generation, energy distribution, and innovative end-use energy technologies.Knowledgeable investors (e.g., utilities, regulators, government agencies, and venture capitalists) leverage these opportunities through strategic technology development, market incentive designs, and orderly product introduction. AESC engineers assist private and public agencies in all phases of investment project development.

Energy Technology Research & Development

AESC works to develop new and innovative technologies that enhance the ability of our customers to buy and sell energy, monitor supply and demand, and monitor and maintain systems.A changing regulatory environment and increased security concerns have energized the electric power industry at home and abroad. Electric utility companies realize that improved productivity is essential to their long-term survival. As the electric power industry quickly evolves into an interconnected network of distributed resources, new technology is needed to facilitate electronic commerce within the utility industry.
