The first Amyris fuel – a renewable diesel – is planned to be commercially available as early as 2010. Reducing CO2 emissions without compromising engine performance or price, Amyris diesel solves many of the performance challenges, such as cold flow and stability, associated with conventional biodiesels. Amyris renewable diesel works well even at low temperatures, does not clog filters, and can be stored for a long period of time without degradation. And because it’s made from sugarcane, our fuel production can scale dramatically and be produced at low costs.
