The Nautilus Set from Anaero Technology is a comprehensive solution for Biomethane Potential (BMP) testing, especially designed to support operational research in the food waste industry. It incorporates gas flow meters with real-time temperature and pressure conversion, bolstered by custom data logging software. Developed through extensive testing, the Nautilus Set promises a practical and durable setup, widely used by laboratories such as NRM. Central to this system is a patented gearbox mixer system that synchronizes the mixing of 15 reactors under uniform thermal conditions, eliminating variability. The reactors are large 1-litre HDPE bottles, optimized for precise measurement. The set also features state-of-the-art data logging via an Arduino-based open-source system, capable of capturing key parameters like air pressure and temperature, and supports seamless data export. Its design permits easy setup and operation, while minimizing water evaporation through Perspex lids in the water bath, ensuring consistent and reproducible test results.
