Watlow Screw Plug Immersion Heater with 1-1/4 inch BRASS Screw Plug. The BDN4G1S series is a 500 watt screw plug immersion heater with 1 Alloy 800 element for Clean water applications (60 watt density). The heater is 120 volts, 1 phase and has an immersion length of 4 3/8 inches. The housing is Nema 1 / General Purpose.

Ideal for generating steam and heating gases and liquids in pressure vessels and tanks, flanged immersion heaters are hairpin-bent tubular elements welded or brazed into a flange and provided with electrical enclosures. Flanged immersion heaters are available in a wide selection of flange sizes and with a variety of electrical enclosures. Most units are UL-listed and CSA-certified or can have ATEX certification. ASME or PED code construction is also available for high-pressure applications. Flanged Immersion heaters can be made up to mega watt sizes. SCRs are best used to control these large loads.

In-pipe immersion heaters utilize drywell type heaters with open coil element assemblies that can be removed and serviced without draining tanks or systems, eliminating down time. Easily installed the heavy-duty assemblies weld directly into storage tanks to deliver long term and economical performance. Once installed, the flexible heater elements are removable from heater tubes without the need to drain the tank or disconnect fluid lines. LO-DENSITY® IS A BIG PLUS. The large heater surface area is designed with a pre-determined low watt density (watts/sq. in.) giving low sheath temperatures to avoid coking or damage to the material being heated.

This heater includes a replaceable fuse set at 190 degree F. Process Technology heater are specifically designed to resist most aqueous acid, alkaline, anodizing and pickling solutions up to 212 degrees F. The HX series Spiral heaters include a corrosion resistant vapor tight, flame retardant polypropylene terminal enclosure 36 inch flexible PVC liquid tight conduit. PTFE covers the 10 watt per square inch Stainless Steel heating elements
