Well ahead of others has ANDINO pursued the development of BUTT-WELDED disk-bucket design; Innovative manufacturing procedures have led to the present standards of industrial production. Records of almost 5 years’ commercial operation are proving the high reliability of ANDINO ’s FORGED and BUTT-WELDED type Pelton runners.

The Vigevano hydro-electric plant on river Ticino, Italy, was rehabilitated after 100 years of operation with its original machinery. ENELGreen Power, the plant owner had awarded a respective works contract to ANDINO in June 2002. The new generating units are in commercial operation since September 2003.
