Anellotech`s Biomass Pretreament Technology Provides Significant Benefits to Bio-TCatTM and Industrial Biomass-Fed Processes. Anellotech’s MinFree technology, a proprietary biomass pretreatment process and key enabler for commercialization of biomass processing technology, can significantly reduce mineral (ash) content of wood and other biomass. MinFree is now removing naturally-occurring minerals from wood biomass at a multi-tonne scale in continuous pilot plant operations. Sustained trials using MinFree-treated loblolly pine at Anellotech’s TCat-8® pilot plant confirm the effectiveness of the MinFree’s process in dramatically extending catalyst life, making Anellotech’s Bio-TCat conversion technology increasingly efficient and competitive compared to fossil-sourced aromatics production.
