The FriCon system cools and dehumidifies process gases for further use in combined heat and power plants or biogas treatment plants. This optimises the combustion process and increases operational reliability. Plant downtimes can also be reduced. By cooling the gas stream, the moisture it contains condenses and can be removed from the gas and discharged as condensate. The equipment, featuring an optional demister, removes up to 99% of the condensate droplets. Steam generators from APROVIS use the energy from combined heat and power plants’ exhaust gas to generate steam. As
steam generator systems, they are energy efficient in operation and can be put to universal use. The range for saturated or superheated steam extends from 1 to 25 bar overpressure, while the capacity is between 100 and 25,000 kg of generated steam per hour. SCR catalytic converters perform the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides (NO_x) from exhaust gases with the help of a reducing agent. The APROVIS Control System (ACS) ensures controlled and precisely coordinated dosing of the reducing agent and optimum mixing with the exhaust gas.

High-temperature heat exchangers from APROVIS use the heat and energy from flue gases generated during industrial processes. They are used for flue gas temperatures up to approx. 1,200°C.
