Wire & Cable Equipment - Payoffs

AWM - Shaft Buncher Payoffs

AW Machinery Shaft Buncher Payoffs, Model SBPO-2-XXX-M are motorized Machines with integral Dancers and they are designed to process two reels in  a single machine.  The machine is designed to process one reel on each side. Each reel can be run  independently of the other. The design of the machine includes two AC Vector  motors directly coupled to heavy-duty right angle gear reducers. The motors are controlled by two AC Vector Drives. One gearbox and motor are mounted  on each shaft which ultimately drive the reel by a flange and drive pin.

AWM - Drag Brakes

AWM LPO Payoffs are designed for low speed applications like cabling, jacketing or rewind lines. Each unit is ruggedly constructed for highly efficient and smooth operation from low inertia starts through high-speed operations up to 750 fpm (225 mpm). The efficient shaftless design reduces reel changing down time. Easily adjustable reel arbors reduce operator reel change time. Pneumatically powered reel lifting and lowering. Reel width range is simply adjusted by sliding the pintle shaft. High-capacity radial and thrust bearings support reel pintles and minimize friction during low inertia starts.

AWM - Tension Brakes

Tension Brakes are designed to maintain constant tension throughout a vast range of applications and process speeds. The system includes a mini belt wrap capstan, an AC Drive, AC Motor, and a start-stop pushbutton control station with a potentiometer to adjust the running tension.

AWM - Tension Controllers

Tension Controllers are designed to maintain constant tension throughout a vast range of applications and process speeds. The system includes a mini belt wrap capstan, a tension transducer, an AC Drive, AC Motor, and a self-tuning closed-loop Digital PID control system. The Controller provides user access to set the desired tension and displays the actual running tension of the wire. The tension transducer measures the actual running tension of the wire or cable while the controller adjusts the AC motor in order to achieve desire tensions. The progressive multi-stage dampening system reduces tension spikes without inducing secondary oscillations to the wire exiting the capstan wheel. These features all contribute to the elimination of the tension variation due to whipping fluctuations common to dual flyer payoffs.
