Azur Space Solar Power GmbH products

Space Solar Cells offer high efficiencies, starting from the 28% class and ending in the high-end cell class of 32%.  This cell type is an AlInGaP/AlInGaAs/InGaAs/Ge on Ge substrate quadruple junction solar cell (efficiency class 32%). The end-of-life version (EOL) of the 4G32C - Advanced, is offering best- in-class power at EOL, mass and price per watt. The cell should be combined with an external bypass diode protection.

This type is an InGaP/GaAs/Ge on Ge substrate triple junction solar cell (efficiency class 30% advanced). The end-of-life version of the 3G30C solar cell offers best EOL-performance values and should be combined with an external bypass diode protection. 

This cell type is a GaInP/GaAs/Ge on Ge substrate triple junction solar cell (efficiency class 30% advanced). The end-of-life version of the 3G30C solar cell offers best EOL-performance values and should be combined with an external bypass diode protection.

This cell type is an InGaP/GaAs/Ge on Ge substrate triple junction solar cell assembly (efficiency class 30%). The solar cell assembly has an improved grid-design and is equipped with an integral bypass diode, interconnectors and cover glass.

This state-of-the-art discrete silicon diode is designed to reliably protect individual multi-junction space grade solar cells from reverse current damage. These diodes are designed to be mounted in the cropped comers of the solar cell, but this technology can be customized for specific application needs upon request.

The AZUR SPACE unprocessed Epitaxial Wafers of class 30% contain our high-efficiency GalnP/GaAs/Ge based epitaxial layers on a Ge substrate. These epixial wafers can be used for any further processing and customized cell designs.

As the key component of a photovoltaic system, solar cells significantly contribute to the total costs of a CPV power plants. The demand to keep these costs as low as possible is clearly identified: high efficiency and reliability of our cells on the large-scale production level is the strategy we pursue. In order to further reduce manufacturing costs, AZUR SPACE is transferring its existing 100mm wafer technology to 150mm. In addition to the showed standard products, AZUR SPACE is also able to offer a wide range of customized cell solutions, developed and manufactured according specific customers´ requirements.

Type: 3C44A - with 10x10mm2 CPV TJ Solar Cell Application: Concentrating Photovoltaic (CPV) Modules.

This cell type is an InGaP/GaAs/Ge on Ge substrate triple junction solar cell (efficiency class 34%). The cell has an improved grid-design and is equipped with an integrated bypass diode, which protects the adjacent cell in the string. Based on our space solar cell strcutures, the whole design of the 3T34C was further developed and adapted to terrestrial application.

This cell type is an InGaP/GaAs/Ge on Ge substrate triple junction solar cell (efficiency class 34%) with attached interconnectors and cover glass. The solar cell assembly has an improved grid-design and is equipped with an integrated bypass diode, which protects the adjacent cell in the string. Based on our space solar cell assemblies, the whole design of the 3T34A assembly was further developed and adapted to terrestrial application.
